Bhartiyans of BVM (USN) celebrate Labour Day
BVM (USN) celebrated the labour day with an intention to sensitize the students with the value of manual labour. Fulfilling its goal to inculcate the feeling of selfless service towards humanity, the students were given opportunity to step into the shoes of their helpers for a day. The students of class X and XI who volunteered themselves for different duties in the school campus performed them smilingly and wholeheartedly. The celebration kicked off with a warm welcome speech by Mrs. Lalita Ahuja (senior teacher) highlighting the origin of the day and acknowledgement of the selfless services of the helpers and workers. It was followed by tilak ceremony of all helpers by Shivika of XII and Tamanna of class IX. Lovely handmade greeting cards, flowers and sweets were offered by students as a token of love, respect, gratitude and appreciation for their caretakers. A volunteer Rhythm of class X expressed his emotions by the end of the day “Today only I have realized how tough it is to perform a duty diligently. It was a deep satisfaction experienced by me and I am going to cherish this memory forever. I salute all our helpers and caretakers for their invaluable services.” Another volunteer at the reception also had a novel but educating experience while attending the phone calls. Sh. Durga Prasad ji, a senior helper passed the vote of thanks on behalf of overwhelmed helping staff members. Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi lauded the priceless services of the helpers towards the institution and was all praise for the services rendered by the volunteers in honour of the working force of the school who create an impeccable space for all in the institution with their sweat and toil.
